Board Members:
Batia Dayan - present

Dr. Jackson, Dania Elementary - present
Approval of January 5, 2015 minutes; with the addition of discussion of sixth grade
aftercare- first Betty Ellis, second Bonnie Carlton
Meeting discussion:
- Implementing an afterschool program for middle school - waiting to hear from Dr.
Montgomery for funding.
-Dania Elementary PTO and Collins PTO do not want to take part in the Art and Seafood
festival; they have other source of fundraising maybe next year.
-Discussed the benefit of purchasing the empty lot next to Dania Elementary school.
-Following up on the letter of recognition for teacher of the year.
-The advisory board would like to hear some feedback from project STEM.
Member Comments:
Batia Dayan - expressed condolence for Lucye Penn.
-Shared experience of ribbon cutting for project Oasis in Dania Elementary.
-Shared Commissioner Albert Jones mission for "Dania University".
Dr. Jackson - condolence for Lucye Penn.
-Shared Ribbon cutting event at his school.
-Shared experience at NOVA university- Impact II grants.
-School activities for relay for life.
-Pennies for Leukemia.
