II. Public Comments – None
III. Minutes: Approval of Minutes –
November 7th, 2016‐ Approved First Ms. Bonnie Carlton Second Ms. Curry
IV. Old Business
‐ Teacher and Employee of The Year Program;
‐ Volunteer advertisement should be forwarded to Ms. Lottier to be posted in the local paper.
V. New Business
‐Welcomed new members to the EAB. Discussed our goals and input as part of an educational advisory
board.
Volunteers and mentors to the schools‐ suggested for city employees or other employees to take part in a
mentor program as part of their employment.
‐EAB suggesting to host a Mayor Chess Challenge in the City of Dania Beach.
‐ School representatives from Dania Elementary, Collins Elementary and Olsen Middle School shared some of
their school events highlights.
Dania Elementary: Testing, Walk for Autism, Special Art Program.
Collins Elementary: Book fair, Literacy week, breakfast with families.
