Regular Meeting

1. ROLL CALL

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – March 21, 2018
No approval for minutes
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS – No Citizens Comments
4. NEW BUSINESS – Board member Charlene Alvarez resigned from the Board.
Recommendation for Commissioner Grace to appoint Kelly Charles to the Board.
5. OLD BUSINESS – Board discussed the issue of green bags - $1,500 for 1,000 Green
Bags with the GAB logo from a Dania Beach business “Wall to Wall” – Promotions at
3380 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, FL (Robert Nolan)
Motion made by Mimi Donly to accept quote for bags and was seconded by
Patricia Chukerman. Motion was passed unanimously.
Discussion where to use the bags:
Art and Seafood Festival – 30% of bags (300)
Patch
Motion made by David Simonetta to have 300 bags giveaway at the Art &
Seafood Festival either through the Chamber or the Patch booth and was seconded by
Carol Stokrocki. Motion was passed unanimously.

7. NEXT MEETING – Wednesday, May 16th at 5:00 pm
Next meeting discussion:
Discuss Special Events to clean up beach around the stairs; how to get cigarette collection
at beach – Chair Chukerman will discuss cigarette boxes that Katia Bordy, Public
Information Officer might recommend.
Motion made by Patricia Chukerman that the Board ask the City Commission
to erect signs about cleaning up the cigarette butts at the beach and was seconded by
Carol Stokrocki . Motion was passed unanimously.
