ROLL CALL Patricia Chukerman, Chair Present Carol Stokrocki Absent Mimi Donly Present David Simonetta Present Lilly Schipper Present Tom Ansboro, City Attorney Present Corinne Lajoie, Planning & Zoning Manager, AICP, LEED GA Present 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – May 22, 2018 Motion made by David Simonetta to approve the May 22, 2018 minutes and was seconded by Patricia Chukerman. Motion was passed unanimously. 3. CITIZENS COMMENTS – No Citizens Comments 4. OLD BUSINESS ––  GAB Bags  Chair Person Patricia Chuckerman stated that City Manager, Robert Baldwin and Assistant Manager, Collin Donnelly said because the funds came from FPL the GAB bags can be distributed in any fashion within the City.  Corinne Lajoie to request written confirmation of the same 5. NEW BUSINESS –  City Attorney, Tom Ansbro presented the State of Florida Government in the Sunshine Law.  A video is available for viewing the City Clerk’s office.  Corinne Lajoie is to see if it is available on-line 6. DISCUSSION/ACTION –  At the City Commission meeting the GAB to request the following:  Ban plastic straws/Styrofoam containers  Cigarette receptacles  Recycle Bins at all city Parks & Events  David Simonetta stated that not all recycling materials get recycled.  David is planning to travel to Tallahassee to impose a recycling value on all items, similar to a soda bottle up north redeeming at $.10.  Board discussion of article shared regarding single use Plastic Bags; Law has to be changed at state level in order to ban plastic bags.  Lilly Schipper asked if the GAB could have a hash tag to gain attention?  Speak to Katia Bordy, PIO 7. NEXT MEETING –Wednesday, July 18th at 5:00 pm 8. ADJOURNMENT – at 5:50 PM, motion moved by Mimi Donly and seconded by Patricia Chuckerman. Motion passed by voice vote without dissent.
