Regular Meeting
Wednesday, July 18, 2018
I. Call to Order - at 5:10 p.m.
II. Roll Call of Board Members
Mimi Donly - Present
Carol Stkrocki - Present
David Simonetta - Present
Patricia Chukerman - Absent
Lilli Schipper - Present
Staff Present: Corinne Lajoie, AICP, LEED GA.
III. Citizen Comments
IV. Approval of May 7, 2018 Minutes – Motion by Lili Schipper, second by Mimi Donly.
Fix spelling error in #6 from “band” to “ban” and take out the duplicate “the”.
V. Old Business
David Simonetta hopes the straw ordinance gets passed. He will be addressing it at the next City
Commission Meeting.
Lilli Schipper & Mimi Donly are passing out green bags
Carol asked about status of recycling
VI. New Business
David Simonetta asked about how Green Advisory Board gets scheduled on the City
Commission Agenda
4 x 4 Post on E. Side of Dunes were constructed illegally. They should be installed 15’ feet into
the ground per Building Code of Marine Filings.
David Simonetta wants to discuss how Dania Beach residents can get incentives to install solar
panels.
Lilli Schipper suggested providing welcome packages to new residents
Mimi Donly stated Board can sponsor a Beach Clean-up.
Board discussed how to separate plastic from seaweed on the beach.
