Regular Meeting
Wednesday, October 17, 2018
I. Call to Order - at 5:08 p.m.
II. Roll Call of Board Members
Mimi Donly - Present
Carol Stkrocki - Present
David Simonetta - Present
Patricia Chukerman - Present
Lilli Schipper - Absent
Staff Present: Corinne Lajoie, AICP, LEED GA
III. Citizen Comments
None
IV. Approval of August 18, 2018 minutes will be done at the next Green Advisory Board meeting on
November 21, 2018.
V. Old Business
David Simonetta was congratulated on the Straw Band.
VI. New Business
David Simonetta questioned if he no longer resides in the City of Dania, but owns property in the
City – can he still serve on the Board?
Pat made arrangements for the Board to be at the Aldi’s Grand opening to distribute bags.
David wants to request the City Commission to not allow nitrate fertilization and prohibit grass
and tree clippings from entering the canals to prevent the water from turning green.
VII.Members Comments
David Simonetta stated waterways filled with poorly maintained boats on Boat Banyan Bay have
sunk repeatedly.
Board discussed waterway issues.
VIII. Adjournment – 5:30p.m. – Motion by Carol Stkrocki, Second by David Simonetta.
