ROLL CALL Board Members Staff Patricia Chukerman, Chair Present Corinne Lajoie, AICP, LEED GA Present Alexis Guillen Present David Simonetta Present Lilli Schipper Present David Yaloz Present Beth White Absent 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 20, 2019 Motion was made by David Simonetta to approve the March 20, 2019 minutes of the Green Advisory Board (GAB) as presented and was seconded by David Yaloz. Motion passed unanimously 5-0. 3. CITIZENS COMMENTS - None 4. NEW BUSINESS  Hurricane Expo at City Hall on June 1, 2019.  GAB would have a booth. Would give out Bags and distribute Information Handout.  Chair Chukerman got 500 reusable bags with GAB logo.  David Simonetta prepared Information Sheet. Corinne Lajoie to make copies. Motion was made by Lilli Schipper to approve the Information Handout and was seconded by David Simonetta. Motion passed unanimously 5-0.  New City Manager – Regarding Funding.  Chair Chukerman said that the Board needs a list of projects before funding can be requested.  (1) Reusable Bags (2) Reusable Water Bottles Motion was made by Chair Chukerman to ask the City Commission to ban use of all plastic at all City Events (e.g., caps, straws, bags, single-use products, etc.) and was seconded by David Simonetta. For discussion The Board felt that it may be difficult for businesses to comply. The motion maker and the second agreed to withdraw this motion and amend it (see below). Motion was made by Chair Chukerman to ask the City Commission to ban use of straws and plastic bags at all City Events and was seconded by David Simonetta. Motion passed unanimously 5-0.  Chair Chukerman and David Simonetta discussed plans to meet with the City Manager regarding GAB funding.  Summer Meeting Schedule:  Chair Chukerman asked if anyone opposed cancelling a meeting in the summer. After discussion, the Board agreed to continue with GAB meetings all summer.  Chair Chukerman, David Yaloz, and David Simonetta would get quotes for reusable bags and reusable water bottles to know how much money to request of the City Commission.  DISCUSSION/ACTION - The next meeting will be June 19, 2019. 5. ADJOURNED Motion was made by David Simonetta to adjourn the meeting at 6:06PM and was seconded by Alexis Guillen. Motion passed unanimously 5-0.
