DANIA BEACH MARINE ADVISORY BOARD
Wednesday, May 16, 2017 – 6pm
1. Call to Order – Clive Taylor, 6:01pm
2. Roll Call
3. Approval of Minutes – not completed yet. Will have April and May during June meeting
4. Reports and Discussions – Clive reviewed ordinance for Marine Advisory Board under rules and procedures which
states board is to choose their own Chairman and Secretary unless Chairperson is designated by City Commission
(Clive was previously elected).
Linda Barber agreed to be Secretary
Linda Barber nominated by Greg Galyo and Glenn Harrington
2nd by Carol Stokrocki and Chris Barile
5. B.S.O Reports – Alex present. Derelict vessels – one still working on 28 ft. Searay black. FWC working on it.
Another by the power plant. Accident by Sea Corp. Capsized boat on Sunday during Air & Sea Show.
6. Old Business ‐ no old business.
7. New Business:
Discussion on getting 2 dedicated Marine Patrol Deputies on the water for Dania Beach.
Chris Barile wrote up letter to submit to City Commission.
Linda Barber read letter aloud.
Clive would like letter signed by all members of Marine Advisory Board.
Linda Barber will write up in email and forward to Clive Taylor and Chris Barile to review and then will be sent to
entire City Commission.
We will be requesting to be put on a City Agenda for a future meeting.
Info to Alex – about bridge 1 block east of Cozy Cove and issues
