DANIA BEACH MARINE ADVISORY BOARD
Wednesday, October 18, 2017 - 6 P.M.

Tony Thackham Visitors: Alex Jacobi, BSO Peggy McKenna David Simonetta 3. Visitor – David Simonetta – Concerned about beach berm pilings and wants to know who the contractor was and who he can talk to about it. Referred to Marc La Ferrier and to consider speaking at City Commission meeting under Citizen’s Comments. 4. Approval of Minutes – Moved and seconded. 5. Reports and Discussion - Skipped 6. B.S.O. Reports – Floating vessel that keepings dis-appearing and re-appearing. Ownership status pending. Alex summarized process for MAB to better understand. 7. Old Business: - Clive re: signage along the canal. - Clive found report to Commission from 2010 and will revise and create a new report and
request for City Resolution to be passed. 8. New Business:
- Man from Hollywood frequently uses fishing pier and complained about dogs, crime, etc. and certain fisherman taking over certain parts of pier. Questions re: who is responsible to enforce alleged violations, such as too may rods, monopolizes pier space, etc. 9. Comments: - Discussion re: ideas for use of County funds to be allocated to the City of Dania Beach - Next County meeting is 11/2 - Chris Barile reported attendance at County’s October meeting and discussed Hollywood’s problem with derelicts boats and their efforts to seek grant funding. - Grants request must come from cities to the County 10.
