DANIA BEACH MARINE ADVISORY BOARD
Wednesday, April 19, 2017 - 6 P.M.
1. Call to Order

3. Approval of Minutes – March 15, 2017 (Approved with minor revisions regarding who brought up certain subjects). Motioned by Chris Barile; seconded by Sheldon Snyder.
4. Reports and Discussion None 5. B.S.O. Reports – Nothing to report other than killing of iguanas and being thrown in the canal. Not illegal to kill, just illegal to dump in canal.
6. Old Business Canal Signage: Clive spoke to Annette W.C. Kaplan who referred MAB Jonathon re: a petition for proper signage on canal. Chris Barile ready to move forward.
Waterway clean-up: Ron Brozic suggest MAB be involved with annual Waterway clean-up by Broward County, approved by City Commission. Clive suggests that Parks and Recreation notify the MAB when County submits the permit each year so MAB can also get involved with planning and promote volunteerism in coordination with City. Groups are broken up in sections, i.e. Girls and Boys Club, Scouts, etc.
7. New Business Re-distributed report for U.S. 1 Bridge Dania Cut-off Canal Report, specifically to inform new members about Excessive Current Flow. Need additional copies from
Parks and Recreation. When was the last time it was dredged? Per Clive, at least 15 years. Discussion ensued on which areas were in most need to dredging.
8. Comments Maps handed out. 9. Adjournment Motioned by Carol Stokrocki; seconded by Peggy McKenna.
