DANIA BEACH MARINE ADVISORY BOARD
Wednesday, January 16, 2019 – 6pm
1. Call to Order – Clive Taylor, 6:08pm

3. Approval of Minutes: Clive Taylor motioned to accept minutes from October 17, 2018. Chris Barile seconded
motion.
4. Reports and Discussions:
‐ Per Michael Huck, in 2 weeks sand is being placed up to the high tide line starting State Park to Hallandale, also
FPL will be running power lines underground.
‐ Clive Taylor, Beach improvements starting phase 2 of 4.
5. B.S.O Reports: No BSO.

7. New Business:
‐ February 20th, 2019 next meeting will be the MAB area Summit meeting at Holiday Park at 6:30pm. All are
encouraged to go, not mandatory.
‐ No Dania Beach February meeting due to MAB Summit.
‐ Chris Barile discussed items that are discussed at Summit and general audience attendance.
‐ Sharon Malone and Dean Grant (new members) gave introductions and background.
8. Comments:
‐ Sharon Malone asked about parking. Gregg Galyo informed we discussed this back in August 2018 as 2 members
received tickets. We should all park in the Marina Parking lot and it’s recommended to make a sign to place in
your car that you are attending the MAB meeting.
‐ Chris Barile emphasized that everyone should try to attend Summit meeting if available.
‐ Dean Grant asked absentee policy, Clive Taylor discussed and informed it’s in package provided.
‐ Clive Taylor discussed Committee County Funding and how it works Boats ramps, Rentals, new parks etc under
the Broward Improvement Program, BIP to bring the new members up to speed.
