Sheet TR-1 1. Please identify the location of tree #1 from the Tree Identification Table on the Tree Removal Plan. 2. Please make changes to the Tree Identification Table as follows: a. The condition of tree 5 Cocos nucifera (coconut palm) should be listed as poor and is not suitable for relocation. b. The condition of tree 26 should be listed as poor instead of dead, with a canopy cover of 64 sq ft. c. The condition of tree 28 Veitchia merrillii (Christmas Palm) should be changed to fair. d. The condition of tree 39 should be changed from fair to poor and is not suitable for relocation. e. The condition of tree 45 should be listed as fair f. The condition of tree 54 should be listed as fair g. Tree numbers 9, 21, 23, 25, 27, 35-38, 40-44, 47-48, 51, 53, 55-65, 67-69, amd 72-76 are missing from Tree Identification Table. Please correct table or provide a comment noting why these numbers are missing. Sheet L-1 1. Shade canopy percentage provided should be corrected to the calculated percentage of 58% keeping in mind that 3 palms count as one tree as per Sec. 26-53. 2. Sec. 26-53 states that 3 palm trees shall count as one tree. The 8 palm trees in the landscape plan should count as 2 trees. Total tree numbers should be changed from 78 to 71. 3. Please note that non-vehicular open space only includes areas not counted toward other landscape requirements. Your landscape requirement for this area should therefore be reduced considerably. 4. Please add the following note: Prior to vegetation clearing or construction activity, a pre-construction landscaping meeting is required with the City Landscape Consultant (Michael McCoy). Please contact at 954-643-0423 at least 5 days prior to construction to schedule meeting, landscape contractor and construction site supervisor must be in attendance. 5. Cordia Sebestena (Geiger) is listed in the plant list as being 8’ tall. In accordance with Sec. 26-53, small trees must be a minimum height of 10ft. 6. Please make changes to the Plant List Table as follows: a. Ilex vomitoria is not the correct botanical name for Dahoon Holly. Ilex cassine is the botanical name for Dahoon Holly, where as Ilex vomitoria is the botanical name for Yaupon. Please indicate which is the intended plant species to be used in the Landscape Plan Page 2 of 2 b. Bahia argentina is not the correct botanical name for bahia grass. Paspalum notatum is the botanical name for bahia grass and it is not considered to be a native species to Florida. Sheet L-2 1. Please indicate on the plan or on an additional plan sheet, by shading or similar means, the landscape areas being counted towards perimeter buffer, interior vehicular use landscape areas or otherwise unattributed non-vehicular open space. 2. Landscape plans indicate 293 plantings for Cocoplum but plant list shows the quantity to be 290. 3. Landscape plans indicate 283 plantings for Fakahatchee grass but plant list shows quantity to be 280. 4. Please indicate using a symbol adjacent to proposed plant locations, which trees are being counted towards each landscape requirement (i.e. perimeter buffer, canopy replacement, etc.) To facilitate subsequent reviews, please provide a response letter addressing each of the items above.
