Jay Field called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call

3. Approval of excused absence Terry Hale Hicks motioned to approve excused absences; seconded by Bob Mikes for discussion.
The board discussed possibly amending and limiting absences. Jay Field will be sending a letter to members regarding absences.
4. Approval of August 27, 2009 minutes Bob Mikes motioned to approve the minutes, seconded by Rae Sandler. The motion passed unanimously
5. Presentation of Sub Committee Reports 5.1 Nomination of Vice Chair
Bob Mikes motioned to continue nomination for Vice Chair until the next meeting, seconded by Rae Sandler. The motion passed unanimously.

5.2 Election of Secretary
Bob Mikes motioned to continue the nomination for election of Secretary until the next
meeting, seconded by Rae Sandler. The motion carried unanimously. 5.3 Continuation of the Revision of the Committee By-laws
Bob Mikes motioned to continue the Revision of the By-Laws until the next meeting,
seconded by Rae Sandler. The motion carried unanimously. 5.4 Discussion of Runway Project, Master Plan Update & Part 150
Rae Sandler stated Broward County is closing the high speed exits on the North runway until
next year for repaving. Ms. Sandler stated that 1331(Crosswinds) will be closed for rehabilitation starting September 21, 2009, for ninety days and also Broward County is doing rehabilitation work on the terminal ramps taxi ways, air side only.
5.5 Pilot Mitigation Program Jimmy Crimminger, guest speaker noted that in the Melaleuca Gardens Home Owners meeting they discussed the update on the petition of Pilot Mitigation Program and advised
they assume the court hearing will be in about a year and he believes that is when they will
review the petition and from there it will go to trail. Mr. Crimminger noted there is some confusion about the Pilot Mitigation Program. He noted Broward County advised that you can take part intake the Pilot Program for insulation because they said that it is being offered for the mitigation process. Broward County acknowledges the offer and said it should be
removed before is it offered to the residents. He also noted regarding West Side Master Plan,
when the developers come to the city they want to have a scope of what the city want and advised that if anyone have to vacate to please consider the Southwest Community.
5.4 Appointment of new members to the Airport Noise Abatement Board

Jay Field adjourned the meeting at 8:25p.m., seconded by Rae Sandler. The motion carried unanimously.
