City of Dania Beach I.T. Parker Community Center Advisory Board Thursday, February 12, 2009 Chairman Ely called the meeting to order at 6:02 P.M. Members present:
Kurt Ely Terrel McCombs Lee Lavery Members absent: Judy Usifer George Jason Bertha Snell
Others present:
Mark Felicetty, Assistant Director Parks and Recreation Kristen Jones, Director, Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Pat Flury
Kurt Ely, requested a motion to excuse Bertha Snell, George Jason, and Judy Usifer, motion
made by Terrel McCombs, seconded by Lee Lavery. Motion approved unanimously. Kurt Ely read the minutes from January 8, 2009 meeting and requested a motion to approve the minutes, motion made by Terrel McCombs, seconded by Lee Lavery. Motion approved
unanimously.
Kurt Ely requested a motion to approve minutes from December 11, 2008 meeting, motion made by Lee Lavery, seconded by Terrel McCombs. Motion approved unanimously.
Kurt Ely the minutes that we just approved requested that I go in front of the commission and
explain to the commission about the Southern Handcraft Society. Mark Felicetty at the December meeting we wanted to explore going with the rates across the board 7 days a week, we currently don’t have the $600.00 rate available on the weekends, Kurt
Ely we discussed it and decided that is what we should do, Kurt Ely requested a motion to
approve to charge the same rates across the board for the whole week, motion made by Terrel McCombs, seconded by Lee Lavery. Motion approved unanimously. Roll call: Lee Lavery: yes, Terrel McCombs: yes, Kurt Ely: yes.
Commissioner Pat Flury thanked the board for the outstanding job done at the I.T. Parker
Community Center for the past few years, Kristen Jones, Director also thanked the board. The meeting adjourned at 6:10 P.M.
