A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA,
VACATING THE WEST 20 FEET OF TRACT 9, BLOCK 1,
LESS THE NORTH 20 FEET, AND THE WEST 20 FEET OF
THE NORTH 1OO FEET OF TRACT 10, BLOCK 1, AND
THE EAST 20 FEET OF TRACT 4, BLOCK 2, LESS THE
NORTH 20 FEET, SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 50 SOUTH,
RANGE 42 EAST, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF,
AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 32 OF THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA. SAID
LANDS SITUATE, LYING AND BEING IN BROWARD
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND CONTAINING 27,829 SQUARE
FEET MORE OR LESS. PROVIDING THAT ALL
RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWTH BE REPEALED TO THE EXTENT
OF SUCH CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 3, Article 3, Part lX, as amended, of the Charter of the City
of Dania, sets forth the procedure for vacating and abandoning streets, alleys or other
property dedicated to the public use; and
WHEREAS, South Florida Sports Committee, lnc. duly petitioned the City
Commission, City of Dania, Florida, for the vacation of that certain road reservation
legally described as follows:
THE WESI20 FEET OF TRACT 9, BLOCK 1, LESS THE NORTH 20 FEET,
AND THE WEST 20 FEET OF THE NORTH 1OO FEET OF TRACT 10, BLOCK
1, AND THE EAST 20 FEET OF TRACT 4, BLOCK 2, LESS THE NORTH 20
FEET, SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 50 SOUTH, RANGE 42 EAST, ACCORDING
TO THE PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 32 OF
THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA. SAID LANDS
SITUATE, LYING AND BEING IN BROWARD COUNry, FLORIDA, AND
CONTAINING 27,829 SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission referred said petition to the City Planning and
Zoning Board for its recommendation; and
WHEREAS, at the meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board held on 15th day
of January 1994, the Planning and Zoning Board unanimously voted to recommend that
the said road reservation be vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, after publication of notice as required by Section 3, Article 3, Part lX
of the Charter of the City of Dania, a public hearing was held before the City
Commission at its regular meeting held on the 8th day of March, 1994.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the Ci$ of Dania, Florida, does hereby vacate,
abandon, renounce and disclaim all of the right, title and interest of the City of Dania in and to
the following road reservation, to-wit:
THE WEST 20 FEET OF TRACT 9, BLOCK 1, LESS THE NORTH 20 FEET,
AND THE WEST 20 FEET OF THE NORTH 1OO FEET OF TRACT 10, BLOCK
1, AND THE EAST 20 FEET OF TRACT 4, BLOCK 2, LESS THE NORTH 20
FEET, SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 50 SOUTH, RANGE 42 EAST, ACCORDING
TO THE PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 2, PAGE 32 OF
THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA. SAID LANDS
SITUATE, LYING AND BEING IN BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND
CONTAINING 27,829 SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS.
section 2. That the city commission does hereby find and determine that the
procedure for the vacation and abandonment of the subject road reservation has been in strict
conformity with the requirements of Section 3, Article 3, Part lX of the Charter of the City of
Dania.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

upon its passage and adoPtion
