ROLL CALL Present: ALEX BUCHSBAUM JAY FIELD VICTOR LOHMANN BILLY PHIPPS ALEX ORTIZ KIM LOPES BEULAH LAIR J 4 5 6 Absent: ANN CASTRO CATHY DAVID 2. MINUTES January 16, 1997. Motion made by Beulah Lair to approve the minutes, seconded by Alex Buchsbaum. Motion passed unanimously. PRESENTATIONS REPORTS OF SUBCOMMITTEES 6.1 ELECTION OF OFFICERS - Motion by Alex Buchsbaum to defer election of officers until the next Airport Advisory Board meeting, seconded by Jay Field. Motion passed unanimously. 6.2 DISSCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION RELATING TO THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT ORDER - AIRPORT DRl. Discussion by board regarding the public hearing on the extension of the South Runway, that was held with Broward County Planning and Zoning Board, and the lack of official representation by the City of Dania. lt also was noted that the County only mailed out 700 notices as notification. lt was also noted that Broward County would hold a meeting on the Development Order on the 21"t of May. Motion made by Jay Field tolsk the City Commission to send a representative to the DRI hearing on May 2"1 ; lnquire 1AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD APRTL 23, 1997 OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 6.4 Discussion and comment on news article submitted by Jay Field pertaining to the amount of movements that were limited by the French government on a local airport. 7- ADJOURNMENT 2AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD APRIL 23, 1997 where and how the mailing list notifying as to the Public hearing was obtained and to request that the County notify all citizens of Dania of the May 21, meeting, seconded by Beulah Lair. Motion passed unanimously. Further discussion related that notification must be made 10 days prior to a meeting and that there would not be enough time for anyone to notify the residents. Victor Lohmann to draft a letter to the City Commission and copy to City Manager regarding the above motion, to be placed on the next regular City Commission meeting.
