Proposed Land Use Amendment For The Banyan Oakridge Commercial
ptai Rt me Southwest Corner Of Griffin Road And SW 31 Avenue
February 16, 1995
A request has been made for time at the February 21 , 1995 City commission meeting
to consioer the concept of a land use amendment for property at the southwest corner
of Griffin Road and SW 31 Avenue. This 29+ acre site has been the subject of review
ov in" citv co*mission in the past three years including a land use amendmert to
olsignatatre entire site as commercial, platting and rezoning the property to B-3,
General Business.
The purpose of the workshop meeting is to discuss-the proposed request by the owner
to "r"nO the land use plan by designating 24.1655 acres as Residential, Medium 16
OUfnC. The proposal is to leave thL 5 acres at the SW corner of Griffin and SW 31 St'
as Commercial.
Obviously no decisions can be made at a workshop meeting and there is a long
pro""r" involved in processing a land use plan amendment' The petitioner is
Iequesting the opportunity to introduce the concept at this time'
