NEW BUSINESS:
l. BPIP grant
2. Developingordinances
Foriteml: Discussed ideas for the BPIP grant. The proposal needs tobe inby9/15/03. Oneideawasto
obtain digitized aerial maps (snapshot of the canal). We need to suggest ideas for an outline for the grant;
eg. Depths. run-offs. environmenlal issues. etc..
For rtem 2: We discussed developing a dock ordinance for boats illegally docked. For ideas we can refer
to municode.com. A suggestion was made to review Holl).woods dock ordinances for examples.
OTHEIT:
The minutes to our last meeting were approved.
We agree our board will need more sub-committee meetings to handle the various upcoming issues.
There is no update on the issue from our last meeting regarding the boat on the canal left in back ofa
residents home. Glenn will try to get an update from Larry Whitford.
The Harbour Town contract is due to be signed on 8/26. The board does not have enough time to make
recommendations to the City Manager pertaining to the lease negotiation .
For new business for our 9ll7 board meeting we need to settle on about three projects or goals, we can
focus our attention on to get resolved.
