Abatement Requests 3.1 Consideration of the abatement request for St. Ruth Baptist Church, for a Public Services Lot Mowing/Debris Removal lien on a vacant lot located on NW 9 Avenue north ofNW 3 Street (Folio #0234-00-0230) Attomey Tim Ryan advised the lien was placed in 1992 and surfaced when a title search was done on the property. The Director of Public Services recommends an abatement of $621.87, which includes the recording fee. Commissioner Grace motioned to abate the lien to $621.87, as recommended by the Director of Public Services, to be paid in 45 days; seconded by Commissioner Castro. Roll Call 3.2 Consideration of the abatement request for Broward Casting Foundry Inc., for property located at 2240 SW 34 Street, Case #07-0805 (Folio #0220-00-0665) Aftomey Tim Ryan noted this case involved 5 violations: pallets and other commerciaVmanufacturing materials stored outside creating a hazardous condition; trash and litter on the rights of way adjoining the property; and steel storage containers stored outside the building. The fine ran for 669 days for a total of $67,162.50, including recording and admin fees. The Special Magistrate recommended an abatement of $7,500.00. Commissioner Grace motioned to abate the lien to $7,500.00, as recommended by the Special Magistrate, to be paid in 30 days; seconded by Commissioner Castro. The motion carried on the following 3-0 Roll Call vote: ,. t Approval ofthe settlement received from Dotan Vaknin for property located at 2733 SW 47 Street, Case #07-1054 (Folio #0229-14-0330) Attomey Ryan noted the City received $7,500.00 as settlement, plus $149.50 in administrative fees, and $2,500.00 in nuisance abatement costs, lor a total of$10,149.50. Commissioner Castro motioned to approve the settlement agreement, as recommended by Attorney Ryan; seconded by Commissioner Grace.
