Minutes of the meeting were reviewed. The president and director wlll attend. There was a report on the approval and plans continuing on the Marina Mile Buainess Park. The DMT transit application and grant for bus service to Marina ilile has been forvarded to Was-hington and expected to be approved in the next few months. Our letbr of support was included in the grant application' Vice Mayor Cindi Hutchinson was our ePoaker, She explained how she envbions Marina lf,ile and the nearby neighborhoods she represents working together on our beautification projectE. ShC has found a way to perhaps frce up the $500'000 pfeAgea for landscaping improvements eastof our arca earlier than planned and it"s 6f"n the lead for us in having staff finatize our master plan efforts and move our project forward. Pete Witchen introduced Michael Matthias who will replace Xatfiryri Glenewinkle who was heading up our proiettfor Ft. Lauderdale with manaiement by Candace Jensen, of Steve Somerville's planning etaff' coordinating thl efforts of the throo cities and the county. Cindi also epoke of the importance-of the redistricting which is currently ongoing and we agreed we shlu6 support her efrorts since she ie the commissioner closeetly aligned with our as3ociation and our goab and objectives. President Bigger led a round table discussion of items of interest on Marina tile.
