City of Dania Beach Parks, Recreation & Community Affairs Advisory Board Meeting Tuesday, June 16, 2009 Frost Park Recreational Complex
Chairman Ely called the meeting to order at 6:01 P.M.
Members present: Tim Pelott Jimmy Peterman Kurt Ely Debra McElyea Judy Jensen
Members absent:
Chip Brockman Clare Frost Lisa Drake Chris Barile Rosalind Curry Others present: Mark Felicetty, Assistant Director Parks and Recreation
Kurt Ely requested an excused absence for Chip Brockman for the May 19, 2009 meeting, motion made by Jimmy Peterman, seconded by Tim Pelott. With the correction Kurt Ely requested a motion to approve the May 19, 2009 minutes, motion made Jimmy Peterman, seconded by TimPelott. Motion approved unanimously.
Kurt Ely requested an excused absence for Rosalind Curry and Clare Frost, motion made by Judy Jensen, seconded by Jimmy Peterman. Motion approved unanimously.
Department Updates by Mark Felicetty:
The concession stand is painted.
The Surveillance System hardware is in at all parks, we are not live yet, waiting for demo and then we will go live.
Remodeling of C.W. Thomas Park bathrooms is on the way; this might be completed within 3
weeks. July 4th Celebration, if anyone is interested in volunteering please call me; we will have 2 shifts for volunteers.
Renaming of Tigertail Lake has been approved. Frost Park Summer Camp is a success; C.W. Thomas Park Pool is open for the summer.

Old Business:
Mark Felicetty distributed the dates and locations of future board meetings. Mark Felicetty distributed the list with names, addresses, phone numbers, and appointments for
the new Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Mark Felicetty distributed the 2009 Code of Ethics. Mark Felicetty distributed the I.T. Parker Community Center rules, regulations, and updated
fees.
Mark Felicetty distributed flyers to promote the July 4th Celebration. New Business:
Kurt Ely, asked what color was the concession stand painted, Mark Felicetty replied that the
color is to match the building. Debra McElyea commented that the concession stand looks very nice. Date of next meeting:
Kurt Ely, date of next meeting will be Tuesday, September 15th at I.T. Parker Community Center
