I. Roll Call was taken, and the meeting was called to Order at 6:47PM EST
II. Minutes: Approval of minutes from April 16, 2025. Motion to approve by Stacy Brown
2nd approval by Robert Ostrove. No opposition
III. Reports and Discussion:
a. Preparing presentation for upcoming commission meeting 6.24.25
b. No extraordinary issues at the beach with the start of summer
IV. B.S.O. REPORTS (no new business)
V. OLD BUSINESS
a. Dania Beach Marine Flea Market (no new business)
b. FIND Grants for Waterway Cleanup (no new business)
c. BSO Substation (no new business)
d. Presentation for City Commissioners (no new business)
VI. NEW BUSINESS
a. Would like to invite representatives from other local marinas (surrounding
cities) to partake in the City of Dania Beach Marine Advisory Board Meeting to
discuss how to keep waste out of the marinas. Partner with and review best
practices with surrounding city marinas and address pollution
prevention/cleanup efforts.
b. Woul d like to partner with Floor Ocean (or other organizations) to do beach
cleanup and intercoastal cleaning.
c. Adjourned to work on presentation.
