A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE REALLOCATION OF FUNDING
FROM THE CW THOMAS PARK IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET TO THE PJ
MELI TO THE P.J. MELI AQUATIC COMPLEX IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET
TO COVER THE COST OF DRC REVIEW OF THE DESIGN IN THE AMOUNT
OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS
($14,120.00); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2025-018, adopted on January 28, 2025, the City
Commission authorizes the proper City officials to execute an agreement with Bermello Ajamil &
Partners, Inc. for Design Services for the P.J. Meli Aquatic Complex Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the next step in the design process for the park is to submit the P.J. Meli
Aquatic Complex project to the DRC for review; and
WHEREAS, the application fee for the Site Plan review is Fourteen Thousand One
Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($14,120.00); and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends reallocation of funding
from the C.W. Thomas Park Improvement project to the P.J. Meli Aquatic Complex project to
cover the cost of the DRC application for the P.J. Meli Aquatic Complex design; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the foregoing “Whereas” clauses are ratified and confirmed and are
incorporated herein by this reference as the legislative findings of the City Commission.
Section 2. That the City Commission hereby approves the reallocation of funding from
the C.W. Thomas Park Improvement project to the P.J. Meli Aquatic Complex project to cover the
cost of the DRC application for the P.J. Meli Aquatic Complex design in the amount of Fourteen
Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($14,120.00).
Section 3. That a budget transfer will be needed from 302-72-03-572-49-30 - Other
Current Charges/Obligations Permits & Licenses to 302-72-08-572-49-30 - Other Current
Charges/Obligations Permits & Licenses in the amount of Fourteen Thousand One Hundred and
Twenty Dollars ($14,120.00).

Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be effective ten (10) days after passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on April 28, 2026.
