Yes, Cocoa Beach significantly increased short-term rerttal (STR) fees in
February 2o25, raising the application fee from $525 td$2,5oo and the
f,. renewal fee from $325 to $1,5oo. These fees were later ad]iffid in April 2025
to include a per-guest component and were extended to STRs in multifamily
buildings, which were previously not subject to registration requirements. The
city also implemented higher fines for violations, such as operating without a
license. a
