Program Overview •• A joint initiative between REACH and the City of Dania Beach •• Collects gently used clothing from the community •• Youth participants clean, refurbish, and resell items •• Clothing is resold at low cost to local families or donated internally to students in need •• All proceeds support local causes and program sustainability School Engagement & Youth Empowerment •• Hands-on business training: inventory, marketing, sales, budgeting •• Team-building and leadership skills •• Builds school spirit and pride •• Encourages respect, ambition, and community involvement Community Development Impact •• Reduces clothing waste through upcycling •• Provides affordable clothing to underserved families •• Teaches youth civic responsibility and entrepreneurship •• Fosters a sense of ownership and pride in Dania Beach Benefits to Dania Beach •• Unique program—no similar initiative in neighboring communities •• Promotes Dania Beach as a leader in innovative community outreach •• Positive media attention: potential for regional and national coverage •• Strengthens city-youth relationships and city image Call to Action •We seek the City Commission's support in: •• Approving city partnership and recognition •• Assisting with outreach and donation campaigns •• Providing access to public spaces for collection and distribution •Let’s build a better future together—one piece of clothing at a time.
