REQUEST TO ADDRESS CITY COMMISSION AT REGULAR MEETINGS
The City is required by state law to keep minutes of City Commission meetings. To properly identify
persons who address the City Commission in those minutes, the City requests that this form be completed
and provided to the City Clerk, before the meeting begins.

Citizen Comments Information
Comments by Dania Beach citizens or interested parties that are not part of the regular printed agenda may be made
during each Commission meeting during the period set aside for “Citizen Comments.” A thirty (30) minute “Citizen
Comments” period shall be designated on the agenda for citizens and interested persons to speak on matters not
scheduled on that day’s agenda. Each speaker shall be limited to 3 minutes for his or her comments. Persons desiring
to speak during the citizen comment period shall inform the City Clerk immediately prior to the beginning of the
meeting of their intention to speak. If more than 10 speakers express a desire to speak, the Commission shall
determine on a meeting by meeting basis whether to (a) extend the time allotted for citizen comments to
accommodate all speakers, or (b) whether to limit the number of speakers or amount of time per speaker. A speaker’s
time shall not be transferable to another speaker.

subject matter of your comment:
I would like to speak on behalf of the good homeless citizens of Dania Beach. My
agenda is as follows.
* I would like to find out where we can get shelter, housing, food, showerers
,transportation, adequate health care, programs for senior and disabled citizens
access
, restrooms, . Also have a task force team in Dania beach who will help us get
the amenities without having to go to far places for our basic human needs. Also
reinforce the law on littering around local businesses, and public consumption of
alcohol and illicit drugs in public domains.( IE) bus stops, parks, and local
businesses. Also strict screening of participants wanting all the things I have
mentioned previously. (drug and alcohol screening before being accepted into
shelters and government funded programs.
My experience on being homeless is getting the run around when I and my
fellow homeless citizens who are not using or participating in any kind of illegal
are detrimental actions prohibited by law when we attempt to get help from
various programs to alleviate the burden of this ever going problem of the ongoing
crises we are experiencing. Being arrested for being homeless, not being able to
find a place to rest in or outdoors even in when we need shelter from the
elements. Most of us are on our last limb and exhausted mentally, physically,
emotionally and financially even to carry on. Most of us literally cant take another
step at times.

Please in the name of humanity help us find a solution to our life threating crisis
we experience every day in a manner where we don't have to wait to receive the
much needed help we are seeking..
We have exhausted all our efforts to receive the assistance we need.
I came here tonight to voice my concerns regarding the deplorable conditions that
are happening to the good people of this beautiful city and of the citizens of
America, and I can only hope and pray that someone can give us the assistance
we desperately need before our country continues to spiral out of control to the
forces that are causing this monumental dilemma we are all experiencing .
