A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING THE INVITATION TO BID (ITB) NO. 26-
018 (RE-BID), ENTITLED “PORTABLE TOILET AND RESTROOM
TRAILER” TO FRIENDLY JOHN, DOODIE CALLS, AND UNITED SITE
RENTALS, AND TO EXCEED THE ANNUAL SINGLE VENDOR
PURCHASING THRESHOLD OF FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00)
FOR ALL THREE VENDORS; PROVIDING FOR FUNDING; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Dania Beach Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article 1, Section 2-10,
“Monetary thresholds for certain purchases and payment disbursement authorizations”, Subsection
(a), sets the monetary threshold at Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) for a vendor each fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, in the initial Invitation to Bid (ITB) No: 2026-010, issued on June 10, 2026
and which closed on July 10, 2026, the City only received one response so the City decided to re-
bid for the services: and
WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 26-018 titled “Portable Toilet
and Restroom Trailer (Re-Bid)” seeking qualified vendors to provide portable toilet rentals
portable restroom and restroom trailer rental services on an as-needed basis to support City-
sponsored events, recreational programs, public gatherings, and other operational activities; and
WHEREAS, the City publicly advertised Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 26-018 for portable
toilet rentals on July 24, 2026; and
WHEREAS, three (3) responses were received, and was opened on August 14, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the three responsive vendors submitted the following total pricing: Friendly
John in the amount of $33,465.00, United Site Services of Florida, LLC in the amount of
$55,325.00, and Doodie Calls in the amount of $58,865.00; and
WHEREAS, Public Services recommends that the City Commission award ITB No. 26-
018 to Friendly John, Doodie Calls, and United Site Rentals for the portable toilet and restroom
trailer rentals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the above “Whereas” clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are
made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference.

Section 2. That the City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager, or designee,
to authorize the award of Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 26-018 titled “Portable Toilet and Restroom
Trailer (Re-Bid)” to all three vendors: Friendly John, Doodie Calls, and United Site Rentals.
Section 3. That all Department purchases from any vendor shall be within the
respective Department’s approved annual budget appropriations.
Section 4. That the City Commission authorizes exceeding the annual amount of Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) purchase threshold for a single vendor for Friendly John, Doodie
Calls, and United Site Rentals.
Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. That this Resolution shall become effective 10 days after passage and
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on August 25, 2026.
