HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2020-150 Disaster Debris Monitoring (RFP 20-003) Bid Award to Debris Tech LLC, Rostan Solutions LLC, and Brenco LLCRESOLUTION NO.2020-150 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING DISASTER DEBRIS MONITORING CONTRACTS IN THE PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND TERTIARY SERVICE PROVIDER CATEGORIES TO DEBRIS TECH LLC, ROSTAN SOLUTIONS LLC, AND BRENCO LLC, RESPECTIVELY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City requires the services of professional disaster debris monitoring contractors which provide expertise and service toward reimbursement applications to the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA); and WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was prepared and advertised for "Disaster Debris Monitoring and FEMA Grant Administration Services"; and WHEREAS, nine responses were received and evaluated by the City's Selection Committee (Committee); and WHEREAS, the Committee's assessment of the proposal packages provided by the respondents resulted in the selection of Debris Tech LLC as the primary contractor, Rostan Solutions LLC as the secondary, and Brenco LLC as the tertiary; and WHEREAS, that upon adoption of this Resolution, the current contract with Rostan Solutions, which expires in June 2021, will be terminated by the City, per Section 8.02 of the contract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes staff to immediately move forward with the contract preparation and execution for the primary, secondary and tertiary disaster debris monitoring firms. Section 3. That funding for debris monitoring will be appropriated from the City's Disaster Reserves Account No. 001-271-08-00 and submitted to FEMA for reimbursement. Section 4. That the City Commission authorizes Public Services to exceed the City vendor threshold policy of $25,000.00 for the term of the contract with firms selected. Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 8, 2020.
