HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2021-010 Ocean Park Drainage Project Authorization to BidR-2021-010 Ocean Park Drainage Project Authorization to BidRESOLUTION NO.2021-010 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING ADVANCE APPROVAL FROM THE CITY COMMISSION TO PROCEED WITH THE BID ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE OCEAN PARK DRAINAGE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach seeks to address drainage needs citywide to enhance safety, water quality and quality of life; and WHEREAS, in February 2020, the Public Services Department engaged the services of Craven Thompson and Associates to study and design drainage options for the northern parking area of Ocean Park; and WHEREAS, the project design recommended inlets, piping to the existing outfall and tidal valves; and WHEREAS, the design is complete, permits approved and the bid documents will be developed in the coming weeks in preparation to bid the project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes staff to proceed with the competitive bidding process for the Ocean Park Drainage Project with funds in the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) from account number 403-38-01-538-63-10. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on January 26, 2021.
