7.2 Update CRA's Vision and Mission Statements
Director Chen spoke of the CRA's Mission Statement and noted it needs to be the product of a
group interactive discussion. He also addressed a vision statement, which the CRA is lacking.
He felt it is important to update the mission statement and create a vision statement, and thought
these would be a good starting point for the CRA Plan update. He noted he has chosen Michael
Anderson, Managing Director of Abstract HR, to facilitate this effort, and introduced Mr.
Anderson.
Mr. Anderson gave an overview of the importance of strategic planning and having a mission or
value statement so the organization can be laser -focused.
Chair James questioned if this would happen via a workshop where the public would be invited,
and the duration of the sessions.
Mr. Anderson responded the public should be given an opportunity to weigh-in on the process.
