HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2021-026 Medical Decision, LLC Bid Award for Air Purifiers-Sanitizers for Various City FacilitiesRESOLUTION NO.2021-026 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO AN INVITATION TO BID ("ITB") ENTITLED, "QUOTES FOR AIR PURIFIERS;" AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF THE BID TO MEDICAL DECISION, LLC FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS ($27,390.00) PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City posted and advertised the invitation to bid on the City of Dania Beach website, Demand Star and the Sun -Sentinel newspaper on December 28, 2020 seeking air purifiers; and WHEREAS, fourteen (14) bidders submitted their respective bids; and WHEREAS, the Finance Department, Human Resources Department and Procurement Division held a virtual meeting on January 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss the fourteen (14) bids that were received; and WHEREAS, all bidders were deemed qualified, responsive and responsible; and WHEREAS, the reviewers determined that the air purifiers/sanitizers currently in place at locations in the City met all criteria being solicited including medical grade units which have a high decontamination rate, do not require the purchase of additional filters, operate quietly as to not interfere with business and can be hung on a wall; and WHEREAS, the City and Medical Decision, LLC will execute the necessary purchasing documents upon ratification and approval of this resolution in an amount not to exceed Twenty Seven Thousand Three Hundred Ninety Dollars ($27,390.00); NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the proper City officials are authorized to execute the necessary purchasing documents with Medical Decision, LLC to provide air purifiers/sanitizers for various City facilities. Section 3. That funding for the services provided by this Agreement is available in the General Fund Disaster Reserve (001-271-08-00). Section 4. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to make minor revisions to such purchasing documents as are deemed necessary and proper and in the best interest of the City. Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on February 23, 2021.
