A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES
ACT SELF-EVALUATION AND TRANSITION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF
DANIA BEACH; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), enacted on July 26,
1990, provides comprehensive rights and protections to individuals with disabilities in
the areas of employment, public accommodations, state and local government
services and telecommunications; and
WHEREAS, Title II of the ADA prohibits discrimination in services provided by
the state and local government entities; and
WHEREAS, in response to Title II of the ADA, a Self-Evaluation and Transition
® Plan has been prepared by Professional Access Services, Inc. for the City of Dania
Beach that applies to all services, activities and programs, including employment,
provided or made available by the City of Dania Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania Beach, Florida, by the
adoption of this resolution accepts this final report dated December 16, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of Dania Beach, Florida
adopts and approves the "Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation and
Transition Plan" for the City of Dania Beach attached hereto as Exhibit "A".

Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this
resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
