SUBJECT: A Resolution Amending the Site Plan and Variance
Approvals for the "Courtyard Marriot (Bass Pro)"
- ---- - pertaining to the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages for On
premises Consumption by Hotel Patrons
At the time of site plan and variance approval, the hotel developer
represented that access to dining facilities would be limited to hotel
guests (Dining areas in smaller hotels are generally limited to
complimentary guest-only breakfast). As such, no on-site parking was
provided for the dining area during site plan review.
Applicant has only recently requested approval for an on-premise 2COP
(beer/wide) license. While a liquor license "per se" is permitted, no
parking has been provided for a bar/restaurant intended open to the
general public.
Applicant has indicated that the lounge will not be open to the public
and has agreed to various conditions (see attached resolution) to that
affect. To make these conditions enforceable, the City Commission
must approve a resolution amending the site plan accordingly.
RECONYMENDATION
Approval, as per the attached resolution.
