Mr. Ivan Pato, City Manager
City of Dania Beach
100 West Dania Beach Blvd.
Dania Beach, Florida 33004
Dear Mr. Pato,
At the request of the Dania Beach Fire Department the Broward Sheriffs Office
Fire Rescue Division agrees to provide dispatch services for your municipal Fire
and Rescue field and administrative units. The Broward Sheriff's Office will insure
that all requirements for automatic aid and mutual aid are met. Fire records will be
available under a county-wide licensing agreement with Sun Pro Fire Reporting
Software.
• The responsibility for providing these services by BSO would go into effect on July
1, 2004. If any delays occur during the installation of the Motorola radio system at
Hollywood, transition will take place at the earliest mutually agreeable date after
July 1, 2004. The Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue Division will assist Dania
Beach in determining the necessary alerting and computer equipment required for
CAD connections and records management to meet the cutover date.
In addition to BSO Fire Rescue unit, dispatch services are also currently provided
to 10 municipal departments to form an effective network for the coordination of
emergency services response. This service will be provided at no cost to the City
of Dania Beach under the regional communications plan. The City would have the
option, at any time to terminate the dispatch services provided upon providing
written notice to the Sheriff.
We will continue to offer our full cooperation to the City of Dania Beach in all
matters of common interest in the successful delivery of emergency services.
Sincerely,
