HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2004-149 Revised Permit Fees Schedule RESOLUTION NO. 2004-149 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES FOR CONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 166.222, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Section 166.222, Florida Statutes, entitled "Building Code Inspection Fees," provides that the governing body of a municipality may provide a schedule of reasonable inspection fees in order to defray the costs of inspection and enforcement of its building code. Section 2. That certain Schedule of Permit Fees for construction, in substantial form as Exhibit "A", attached, is approved. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect November 15, 2004. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th DAY of SEPTEMBER, 2004. C.K. Should the work being performed under an issued permit require additional inspections, each inspection shall be paid for at the time that the inspection is requested. If a Certificate of Occupancy is to be issued for the project, the amount due for additional inspections shall be collected prior to the issuance of the CofO. Additional inspection $ 90.00 Minimum Fee $ 90.00 Any permit that cannot be classified under this schedule shall be issued at the rate of 3% of the contract value of the work being performed. A copy of the contract shall be provided to the Building Division for this purpose. A plan review fee of $400.00 will be collected at the time of application for permit, or submission of plans for pre-review, for new construction or additions. This amount will be credited against the cost of the permit fee at the time that the permit is issued.
