RESOLUTION NO. 2004-185
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO REPLENISH THE DESIGNATED FUND BALANCE IN
THE GENERAL FUND TO AN AMOUNT OF $500,000.00 FOR LEGAL,
CONSULTING AND OTHER FEES REQUIRED TO PROTECT CITY RESIDENTS,
HOMES AND BUSINESSES THREATENED BY PROPOSED AIRPORT
EXPANSION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, on October 12, 2004, the City Commission approved Resolution 2004-177, which
directed staff to identify available funds to replenish the City's designated fund balance to Five Hundred
Thousand ($500,000.00) Dollars for legal, consulting and other fees related to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood
International Airport expansion issue;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
• Section 1. That the Finance Director is authorized to utilize FY 2004 revenues to provide funding for
all expenses expended in FY 2004 related to the airport issues.
Section 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to ensure that if any expenses are expended that
exceed the sum of $150,000.00 in FY 2005, funds will be derived from the revenues received in fiscal year
2005; furthermore, if the total revenues received in that fiscal year are lower than total expenditures, any airport
related expenses, inclusive of legal, consulting and other fees will be derived from the City's
undesignated/unreserved fund balance.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are repealed to the
extent of such conflict.

• Section 4. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
