RE: Cemetery "Board of Trustees"; New Advisory Duties For Human Relations
Board (Cemetery Matters)
As directed by the City Commission at the August 12, 2003 regular meeting, attached
is an ordinance amending a Charter provision, which will designate the City Commission as
the cemeteries' "board of trustees", to ensure that the "perpetual care funds" are administered
directly by the city commission.
Also attached is a Resolution which will authorize the Human Relations Advisory Board
to make recommendations to the City Commission about cemetery matters and issues. These
are ready for consideration by the City Commission.
