Home My WebLink AboutR-2003-250 chickee huts beach RESOLUTION NO. 2003-250 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00 TO REPAIR CHICKEE HUTS, LOCATED WITHIN THE BEACH AREA, FROM CHICKEE HUTS, SOLE SOURCE PROVIDER, WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Dania Beach, Part III, Article 3, Section 4, Subsection (J), provides that the City Commission may, during unusual conditions or emergencies, by resolution, authorize the purchase by the City Manager of designated supplies, services, equipment and materials in amounts in excess of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) without competitive bids and without advertising for bids, and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that it is necessary to make additional repairs, exceeding his expenditure authority, to three Chickee Huts used by ® the public from Chickee Huts, 23790 SW 177 Avenue, Miami , Florida, 33031, the sole source provider of the equipment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that such purchase can be made at the least cost to the City by making repairs now on the chickees from Chickee Huts, sole source provider, in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to pay from the Capital Projects Fund an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 to Chickee Huts, sole source provider, for repairs of hickees at the beach. Section 2.
