46 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
"STIRLING SUITES" PLAT, SUCH PROPERTY BEING LOCATED AS THE
VACANT PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NW CORNER OF 1-95 AND
STIRLING ROAD, IN THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH AND LEGALLY
DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THIS
ORDINANCE; ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION FOR PUBLIC USE OF ALL
STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND ALLEYS AS SHOWN ON SUCH PLAT OF
"STIRLING SUITES" PLAT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; FURTHER,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the plat of "Stirling Suites" (PL-52-02), an Ordinance of the City Of
Dania Beach, Florida, approving the "Stirling Suites" plat, such property being located in the
City Of Dania Beach and legally described in exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached to this
ordinance; is hereby accepted and approved. The City of Dania Beach consents and agrees
that such plat may be recorded in the Public Records of Broward County, Florida, upon further
• approval of all agencies of Broward County, Florida, having jurisdiction in the matter.
Section 2. That the dedication for public use of all streets, highways and alleys, as
shown on the plat of "Stirling Suites" plat, is accepted by the City of Dania Beach, Florida.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately at its time of passage.
PASSED and ADOPTED on first reading on the 121h day of November, 2002.
PASSED and ADOPTED on second and final reading on the 26th day of November, 2002.

SUBJECT: PL-52-02: Request by Ralph Denuzzio & Associates
representing B & I Properties, Ltd., for a preliminary
plat approval for property located at the NW corner
of I-95 and Stirling Road (SECOND READING).
EXISTING
ZONING: Industrial Research Office Marine (IROM)
. The applicant has proposed a perimeter plat containing approximately 2.7 acres
at the northwest corner of I-95 and Stirling. Platting is required in order to
construct a new hotel at this location (Applicant is still required to submit a site
plan for Planning and Zoning Board and City Commission review).
Vehicular access to this parcel will be through FDOT property on Stirling Road.
Development of this parcel is subject to the Chapter 26 (Vegetation) of the City
Code. Chapter 26 requires, among other things, the preservation or "on-site"
relocation of certain types of trees. Staff has advised the applicant review both
Chapter 26 and Chapter 28 (Zoning) of the City Code to determine the full
compliment of landscape, tree preservation, and zoning requirements relating to
this property.
