BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Article IV entitled "Downtown Redevelopment Agency", Sections 19-51 through 19-56 of the City Code of Ordinances is repealed in its entirety. Section 2. That except as amended above, all other provisions of Chapter 19 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Dania Beach, Florida, shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4. That if any section, clause, sentence or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. 1 ORDINANCE NO.2001-005 F:566001:0rdinances:Repealing 19-51through 19-56 Section 5. The Ordinance and Resolution were drafted at the request of the Downtown Economic Redevelopment Board. The proposed Resolution would create a new board redefining the board's composition and duties. The Ordinance would repeal the City's Downtown Redevelopment Agency ("CRA"). As you will recall, we previously advised you that the current "CRA" Ordinance is outdated and not suitable for amendment. In the near future, if the "Needs Study" determines that a "CRA" is appropriate, (which is anticipated), then an Ordinance creating a new "CRA" will be presented to you for adoption.
