THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2004 - 4:00 P.M.
ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE CITY COMMISSION WITH REGARD TO ANY
MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS MEETING OR HEARING WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR
SUCH PURPOSE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE WHICH
RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
LOBBYIST REGISTRATION REQUIRED - REGISTRATION AS A LOBBYIST IN THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH IS
REQUIRED IF ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION IS BEING PAID TO LOBBY THE COMMISSION ON ANY
PETITION OR ISSUE PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 01-93. REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CITY
CLERK'S OFFICE IN THE ADMINISTRATION CENTER.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, PERSONS NEEDING ASSISTANCE TO

RESOLUTION NO. 2004-
A RESOLUTION OF THE DANIA BEACH COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, DIRECTING THAT APPLICATIONS BE
SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA SEEKING FUNDING FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF PARCELS OF LAND AND INFRASTRUCTURE
IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED FOR COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Broward County (the "County"), the City of Dania Beach (the "City") and
the Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (the "CRA") entered into an Interlocal
Cooperation Agreement, dated April 20, 2004 (the "Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the CRA, acting through the City Commission in its capacity as the CRA
Board, identified parcels of land lying within the geographic area known as the Redevelopment
Area that are needed for community redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the CRA Board also identified a need for infrastructure improvements to
serve the Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, redevelopment activities proposed by the City,
the CRA or both are to be implemented pursuant to the requirements of a funding program
established by Broward County, known as the Redevelopment Capital Program; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, the County shall consider investing in eligible
redevelopment activities or projects upon submittal of an application by the City, the CRA or both
based upon the extent to which an activity or project meets certain redevelopment criteria; and
WHEREAS, parcels of land have been identified by the City Commission and the CRA
which meet the specified criteria and both the City Commission and CRA submit that the land
acquisitions and improvements are necessary and desirable to serve the purposes of community
redevelopment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE DANIA
BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Section 1. That the proper City officials of the City of Dania Beach, Florida, the Dania
Beach Community Redevelopment Agency, or both are authorized to submit applications to

Broward County, seeking funding for the acquisition of parcels of land lying within the
Redevelopment Area, and for infrastructure improvements within the Area, such land and
improvements being identified in documents, copies of which documents are attached and
incorporated by this reference.
Section 2. That the proper City officials and staff of the City and the CRA are directed to
provide Broward County sufficient information to support the parcel acquisition and improvements
applications.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
