HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2007-101 Purchase of Computer hardware from CDW-G RESOLUTION NO. 2007-101 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE, SOFTWARE AND SUPPORT LICENSES FROM CDW-G IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $16,500.00 WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Dania Beach, Part III, Article 3, Section 4, Subsection 0), provides that during unusual conditions or emergencies, the City Commission may, by resolution, authorize the purchase by the City Manager of designated supplies, services, equipment and materials in amounts in excess of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) without competitive bids and without advertisement for bids, or if such purchases are made pursuant to a competitive bid obtained within the last twelve (12) months by other governmental agencies such as the federal government, State of Florida or a Florida county or municipality; and WHEREAS, the FY2007 purchases from CDW-G for servers, computers, software licenses and printers in the amount of$13,405.93 have been made; and WHEREAS, an additional amount of approximately $3,095.00 is required for the remainder of the fiscal year for the purchase of software, hardware and licensing purchases; and WHEREAS,the City Manager has determined that such software, computer hardware and support licenses can be purchased at the least cost to the City from CDW-G, when cost estimates are obtained which are lower than GSA pricing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to pay a sum not to exceed $16,500.00, payable from the Information Services budget to CDW-G, for the purchase of hardware, software and support licenses. Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED on June 12, 2007.
