ARTICLE 22
INJURIES
1. SECTION 1. A member covered by this agreement who
2 . is injured in the line of duty shall be furnished all
3. necessary medical care and treatment by the employer. If
4 . the employer fails to provide medical care and treatment
S . after requested to do so by the injured employee, the in-
6. jured employee may obtain all reasonably and necessary
7. medical care and treatment at the employer' s expense. In
S. addition , if the employee objects to the medical care and
9. treatment furnished by the employer, the employee shall
10. select another physician to treat the employee. In an
II. emergency, an employee injured in the line of duty can
l?. select his own medical care and treatment at the employ-
1.3 , er' s expense.
14 . SECTION 2. The City shall agree that , in the event
15 . of an on the job injury to a member, such member shall be
1G. carried at full pay on the rolls of the Police Department
11 . and will not be charged against any existing type leave.
is , The employee shall receive sufficient salary from the
19 . City, that when added to his workman's compensation, the
?0 . cmployec will receive the equivalent pay as he receives
