SPECIAL MEETING
DANIA CITY COMMISSION
SEPTE11BER 27, 1978
Roll Call :
Present:
Mayor: John Bertino
Vice Mayor: James Adams
Commissioners: Jean Cook
Robert Donly
City Attorney: Frank Adler
City Manager: Richard Marant
City Clerk: Wanda Mullikin
Absent:
Commissioner: Howard Hirsch(sick)
Discussion of problems related to the completion of the new administrative
center.
Mr. Jeff Gross, Architect, Mr. John Mayer, Contractor, and Mr. Jack
Pillman, from Marbletite were present to discuss with the Commission
the problem with the marbletite on the outside.'of the building.
After further discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Donly, seconded
by Commissioner Cook to request the Architect and Marbletite to come back
on October 3rd at 8:00 with a solution to the refinishing of the outside of
the building. The motion passed unanimously.
The Commission reviewed with Jeff Gross and Jack Mayer the list that was
submitted by the contractor on the delays in completion. After further
discussion, Jeff Gross and Jack Mayer decided to get together with their
engineers to discuss the details for completing the building and to come
back on October 3rd to discuss some solutions for the electrical and
Air Conditioning problems.
Comments :
City Manager Marant reported on the painting of the inside of the building.
Discussion followed on garbage pick-up in the newly annexed area. City Manager
Marant is to check with the county on this.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Donly, seconded by Commissioner Adams
to grant a change order for installation of fans in the Police Department jail
cells. The motion passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Adams to
adjourn this meeting. The motion passed by all .
