1. City Manager Lassiter recommended that the Commission sign the new con-
tract for the Community Partnership.
A motion was made by Commissioner Donly, seconded by Commissioner Cook
to sign the contract with Community Partnership for the period June 1st
to September 30th, 1978.

2. City Manager Lassiter requested that the Commission make a statement stating
that the City of Dania would provide Fire, Police and Medical Services immedia-
tely upon the Bill for the annexation area becoming a law.
The Commission then discussed the services and charges for water, sewers and
garbage pick-up in that area. After further discussion, City Attorney Adler
informed the Commission that a statement has been sent to Senator Zinkle
confirming that the City will comply with the law and provide all safety
services for the newly annexed area when the bill becomes law. This state-
ment was sent by the administration.
3. A motion was made by Commissioner Hirsch, seconded by Commissioner Donly to
close the bidding and open the bid received on flouridation equipment. The
motion passed unanimously.
City Manager Lassiter read the bid received from Wallace & Tiernan in the
amount of $2,258.00.
A motion was then made by Commissioner Hirsch, seconded by Commissioner Donly
to approve and accept the bid received providing it meets with the approval
and safety standards and measures in other cities.
The motion passed on the following roll call vote:

d. Mayor Bertino suggested that the Commission set down a procedure for drawing
up ordinances, leases and agreements. He requested that a workshop meeting
be set prior to preparing any major lease, agreement or ordinance so the
Commission could have more time to express what they want to have put in
these documents.
The Commission then agreed to have a workshop meeting prior to signing any
major agreement, lease or ordinance.

Comments :
City Manager Lassiter informed the Commission that a letter has been received
from Fred S. James regarding reappraising the City's building and values for
insurance purposes. He continued to say that he contacted Luther Sparkman
in reference to this, and that Mr. Sparkman said he would do this appraisal
for $25.00 per hour.
The Commission then instructed City Manager Lassiter to obtain an estimate
of the total hours and cost from Mr. Sparkman, and to put this item on the
agenda for the next regular meeting of June 13, 1978 for action.
A motion was made to adjourn this meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
