,® Commissioner Kay made a motion to excuse Commissioner Adler's
absence, seconded by Commissioner Donly and motion passed unanimously.
4. The minutes of the regular meeting of November LB were approved
with an addition to be added under item 4 which was to add the names
of the citizens cited by Chief Willis, A motion was made by Commissioner

Mr. Pete Prosaic of 529 NW 10 Street reported on trailers without .
license tags and asked the city to check into and see that these
tags be enforced.
® 6. Mr. Feldman representing Mr. Brad Hinman appeared in defense of the
twelve mini-movies to be operated on property located at 1502 South
Federal Highway. By presenting slides, Building: Inspector Littrell
showed ways in which parking of care would not be sufficient.
Citizens commented and expressed views against this petition. A
.0 letter from H. Albert Eskridge opposing this operation was entered
into the minutes. Vice Mayor Bertino made a motion that the
commission accept the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning
board and not grant this petition for exceptional use of this property
based on inadequate parking. Motion seconded by Commissioner Kay-
and passed unanimously.
7. The ordinance setting bar hours at 3:00' a.m. was presented for
second reading. Bar owners expressed their views supporting this
ordinance. Commissioner Donly made a motion to pass this ordinance
on second reading motion seconded by Vice Mayor Bertino and'motion
passed on the following roll call vote:

g, Mayor Duncanson read a resolution from the City of Sunrise
opposing the United Nation's resolution labeling Zionism
as a form of racial discrimination. Vice Mayor Bertino made

a motion that the City of Dania also adopt this resolution,
h- seconded by Commissioner Kay, After dis� cussion, Commissioner
Donly made a motion to table this item until the next meeting.
Motion died for lack of a second. Vice Mayor Bertino then
e.:
amended the motion by striking section 4 oftthe resolution
pertaining to withholding of funds to the United Nation.
Motion seconded by Commissioner Kay and passed unanimously.

"•' 9. City Manager Kooser presented a resolution requesting the
assistance of Broward County in the installation of improved
t traffic eignaliaation of U.S. 1, South of Griffin Road, A
motion to adopt this resolution was made by Vice Mayor Bertino
' seconded by Commissioner Donly and passed unanimously.'

f� 10. City Manager Kooser presented a resolution renaming weetside
Park to Modello Community Recreation Center. A motion to
adopt this resolution. was made by Vice Mayor Bertino and
seconded by Commissioner Donly and passed unanimously.

Mr, Samuel. Pollard, Jr. presented his proposal and explained
his reason for the .letter withdrawing his'bid proposal,
City Attorney Milbery pointed out that the bid-speeihcation
was not met due to ;the fact that-it was, bid on footage in
lieu of unit. D66 to ;the fact t8at ,it was the; onlg.bid,
he recommended that the city could decide either way*on this
agreement.
Mayor Duncanson commented that due to the fact that Active
Rouse, Inc, had not lived up to the past agreement, he would
recommend that this bid not be accepted. After further discussion,
Mayor Duncanson called for a'roll call vote;the motion failed
on the. following vote:
Commissioner Bertino - no
Commissioner Donly - no
Commissioner Kay - no
Mayor Duncanson - no
12. City Manager Kooser asked that a public hearing be set to
consider a resolution entering' into a lease-purchase agreement
with Housy Contracting .for the acquisition of a front-end loader.
On a motion by 'Vice Mayor Bertino seconded by Commissioner Kay .
the public hearing was to be advertised and set for January 6, 1976.
Motion passed unanimously.
11. On a motion by Vice Mayor Bertino seconded by Commissioner
Donly, consideration of a proposal to receive bids for various
insurance policies was tabled until the special meeting on ..
December 5, 1975 by a unanimous vote.

1,4, Commissioner Donly made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Kay
IW that the bills as paid for the month of October be approved,
Motion passed unanimously.
Comments:
Mayor Duncanson reminded the commission of the public hearing and the
special meeting to be Friday, December 5, 1975.
a City manager Kooser reported that he would meet at 2:00 p.m, on December 3rd
d with the representative from FEC to discuss an agreement on railroads,
N City Manager Kooser will try to present a recommendation at the next
regular meeting.
x'.;.• Vice mayor Bertino recommended that the city buy books, from the Dade
County police academy containing Florida state statutes written out
and how they apply for all police officers.
Commissioner Doniy commented that he was quite proud of the plaque
presented to Dania Community Social Services that is hanging in the
office of TY park.
f City Manager Kooser was asked to look into getting a light for
Reverend Van Arsdale's (police chaplin) automobile.
City Attorney Milbery reported on the procedure for revoking an
alcoholic beverage license. The procedure has to go through the
x director of beverages who is the only person who can revoke the license.
The jurisdiction of the court, of any part, is to force the, director to
follow the state statutes. Any suit has to be fifed"against the director
of beverages in Leon County.

O On a request for Mr. Brad Hinman' s petition for
exceptional use for property located at 502 South
Federal Highway. The nature of the request is for
an establishment which houses twelve mini-movie
machines. This request was denied by the Planning
and Zoning Board, as shown in their minutes of November llth.

4. Ordinance
Second reading of an ordinance to change bar closing
hours to 3 : 00 A.M. Passed on first reading November 18th.

a. Consideration of a resolution expressing opposition
to the United Nation 's resolution labeling Zionism
as a form of racial discrimination.
b. Consideration of a resolution requesting the assist-
ance of Broward County in the installation of
improved traffic signalization of U. S.1, south
of Griffin Road.
