WORKSHOP MEETING
DANIA CITY COMMISSION
OCTOBER 20, 1975
1. Roll Call: Present:
Mayor: Robert H. Duncanson
Vice Mayor: John Bertino
Commissioners: John Kay
Robert Donly
City Manager: John Kooser
2. This workshop meeting was called for the purpose of discussing
and deciding what to revise and what to eliminate as far as the
Chamber of Commerce booklet. The meeting took place at the
Dania Chamber of Commerce.
Some of the changes discussed included the elimination of page 4,
updating pages 6 6 7, and changing slightly 16, 17 6 18. The
map was discussed and designating undeveloped industrial areas
was thought to be of importance, along with putting the date on
the bottom of the map.
Although pictures were thought to be a necessary part of the
booklet, the suggestion was made to eliminate them on the church
and school page and replace them with an index type of page.
The Mayor pointed out the savings in hand inserting the map,
rather than including it in the booklet.
Mayor Duncanson pointed out the need for including black groups
into the book since Dania has a great many black businessmen and
groups in the community.
The cover was brought up as far as changing it to a bicentennial
theme and since this would require additional cost the matter was
dropped.
The sum of up to $2,000 to cover 1,000 booklets including mailing
of these booklets, envelopes and map will be the motion to be con-
sidered at the regular meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 1975.
