Roll Call: Present: Mayor: Robert Duncanson Vice Mayor: John Bertino Commissioners: John Kay Robert Donly City Manager: John Kooser City Clerk: Wactda Mullikin City Attorney: Jack Milbery Fire Chief: John Lessi'ter Social Service Director: James Stevens. —i Absent - Commissioner: Frank Adler 2, The Special Meeting was called for consideration of several resolutions consisting of the following: A. A motion was made by Commissioner Donly to adopt a , . ` resolution authorizing the City Manager of Dania, Florida to present a letter of intent to the State for the purpose its'7 of securing funds for the purchase of an emergency rescue vehicle. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kay ✓^ and passed unanimously on a 4-0 vote. B. A motion was made by Commissioner Donly to adopt a re- solution authorizing the proper City officials to enter into an agreement with the Department of Community Affairs for a $10,000 grant for Social'Service.funding. The motion was seconded by.Commissioner Kay and passed unanimously. James Stevens, Social Service Director, mentioned the fact he has already .looked.into' other fund sources other than Manpower and wilt 'co'ntinue to make his services available through trained, people on his staff. 3, The Mayor brought to light prices,on tree cutting in the area and the importance of,getting bids to enable citizens to get a fair�pcice. Mr. Kooser is looking into this matter, r�.
