e 4. A motion was made by Commissioner Jackson, seconded by Commissioner Kay
to approve the minutes from the meeting of February 25th. The vote was
unanimous.
• 5. The question of demolishing Frank's Pizza Place on North Federal Highway
o-nra tabled until the next meeting.
6. On a motion by Commissioner Kay, seconded by Commissioner Duncanson, the
Commission authorized a resolution confirming the assessments for Southeast
® 71h Street for the meeting of April Ist.
1. C1,inager presented the question of contributions of the Channel Two Fund Drive
for this year. Commission decided to assist the station with any project,
r' but that the City would not make a contribution.
® 8. City Manager requested authorization to advertise for bids for a ladder
truck for the Fire Department. The schedule for the process would be
delivery in the beginning of the 1975-6 budget year with part of the monies
to be budgeted in the 1974-5 budget year and a part in the 75-6 budget year.
A rnotion was made by Commissioner Kay, seconded by Commissioner Jackson to
c111thorize the advertising for bids for this truck. The vote was unanimous.
9. City Manager requested the Commissioners advice on sending a person to Texas
A S P1 University for the Fire and Arson Seminar. On a motion by Commissioner
Adler, seconded by Commissioner Kay, the Commission unanimously authorized
Li(iif. Moore be sent to this Seminar.
10. City Manager presented information relative to construction of two lanes of
Southeast 5th Avenue from 4th Terrace to Sheridan Street and 4th Terrace
from Southeast 5th Avenue to 3rd Avenue. The plan is to take rock fill
from the east side of the right-of-way and use in the construction of the
w—;I-ern portion. On a motion by Commissioner Jackson, seconded by Commissioner
Kay, the Cornmi�sion unanimously authorized a resolution of necessity and hearing
for objections to be held April Ist, and bids to be received either on April Ist
or the I5th, decision to be made by City Manager and City Engineer. After the
vr>te Commissioner Adler recommended that we clear these plans for construction
with thn Counly.

12. Cily Mcinarler reminded the Commission that it was necessary to designate a
vr.itinq dolegate and alternate for the Broward League of Cities. Mayor Kay
r:ur„ested that Vice Mayor Duncanson continue as delegate and Commissioner
Adl-r be designated as alternate.

Thr! request to hold a onet-day auction in March was turned over to the City
f Manager to handle directly.
Commissioner Jackson requested the City A I-torney to confer with the City
M,inrigor and Hie BuiIding Department and draw up a new ordinance to regulate
types of fences.
The City idanoger had commenced that the Recreation Committee should outline
Iho IoraIion of the bicycle paths. Vice Mayor Duncanson is Chairman of this
Committee, and he will assume this responsibility, but asked all the Commissioners
to (live hirn choir suggestions on locations.

G. Vice Mayor Duncanson asked the City Attorney for a report on the sewer assess-
nient at the Danians. Clarke Walden will furnish this -in writing.
1 /. Minor resulutionsauthorized in the past by the Commission were discussed
and City Attorney was instructed to forego recording these resolutions,
example: one, had concerned itself with asking the County School Board to
buy an additional lot south of Dania Elementary School .
y18. City Attorney advised that -the new zoning ordinances for residential use

will be read on second reading March l8th. Commercial zoning ordinances
will he read on first reading the IBth.
19. Cify Attorney presented a resolution formally vacating a small section of
right-of-way on Southeast 2nd Avenue, which was in addition to the proper
ririht-of-way for the street. On a motion by Vice Mayor Duncanson, seconded
by Commissioner Kay, the Commission approved the resolution by unanimous vote.
20. City Attorney presented a resolution vacating certain streets and accepting
dedication of other streets in the St. James Park Delmar subdivision.
' On a motion by Commissioner Kay, seconded by Commissioner Jackson, the
Commission voted unanimously to pass the resolution.
No further business to come before the Commission, the meeting adjourned.
