Roll Call Present: Mayor: William E. Jackson Commissioners: Ted Kay Robert Kelly Boisy Waiters Frank Salvino Acting City Manager: E. R. Clay, City Clerk City Attorney: Clarke Walden Police Chief: Gustave Brugger Building Inspector: Hubert Walker Absent: City Manager: Woodward Hampton-On Vacation 4. Commissioner Waiters made a motion to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting on May 15, 1972. Commissioner Kay seconded. There were five ayes. • 5. Commissioner Salvino made a motion to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting on May 22, 1972. Commissioner Kelly seconded. There were five ayes. 6. Commissioner Waiters made a motion to table the matter of the proposed shopping center of Sage Corporation until A. J. Ryan, Attorney, Clarke Walden, City Attorney and Stanley Greenberg, Attorney could have a meeting. Commissioner Kay seconded. There were five ayes. 7. Commissioner Waiters made a motion to pass the Amended R-3 Ordinance on second and third readings. Commissioner Kay seconded. There were five ayes. 8. Commissioner Kay made a motion to pass on all three readings the R-Apartment Density Ordinance. Comrdissioner Salvino seconded. There were five ayes. 9. Public Hearing 8:30 P. M. ?� Commissioner Kelly made a motion to table the proposed mechanical garage of Alfred Palladino until he could get together with Mr. Walden. Commissioner Kay seconded. There were five ayes. 10. Public Hearing 8:45 P. M. Griffin Industrial Park. No one was present. 'r 11. Beck. Continuation of a public hearing on a variance for R-3. There were three objectors: Glen Dunham and two owners of property at 110 S. E. 2nd Court and 117 S. E. 2nd Avenue. Commissioner Kay made a motion that this request be denied. Commissioner Waiters seconded. There were five ayes . 12. The son of Edward Johnson was present to ask for sixty days to complete the demolition of his late father's home at 607 N. W. 3rd Terrace, legal: Lot 16 Block 6, Dania Manor Corrected. The Commission asked Mr. Walker to put this agreement of a sixty day extension in the form of a letter. e - r 4) 4 . tlY 13. Commissioner Kelly made a motion to pay Morton Pump $3,270.00 for two Turbine Pumps, and $31850.0o for drilling (1) 12" well at 1100 South Phippen Road. Commissioner Salvino seconded. There ® were five ayes. 14. Commissioner Waiters made a motion to table the drainage problem in the Southeast section of Dania. Commissioner Kelly seconded. There were five ayes. ® 15. Commissioner Kay made a motion to adopt the resolution on facsimile signatures of the City Manager and City Clerk, to be used on payroll checks only. Only one facsimile may be used on any check. The second signature of either the City Manager or the City Clerk must be manual. Commissioner Salvino, seconded. There were five ayes. ® 16. Commissioner Kay made a motion to table the resolution authorizing the Dania Bank to transfer funds from the Dania Sewer Assessment Fund into the Repair and Replacement Fund to cover the cost of the sewer plant improvements until the next regular meeting. Commissioner Salvino seconded. There were five ayes. ® 17. The Commission authorized the Public Works Director to put up new "No Camping" signs and other signs at the beach. 18. The Commission declared the 1961 Ford Truck #502 surplus. 19. The Commission asked Commissioner Kelly if he would represent the City at the meeting consisting of many Chambers of Commerce concerning the proposed I-75 East-West road that will run parallel with Alligator Alley. 20. Commissioner Kay made a motion to approve the Fred Bailey site plan with the condition that no permit will be issued until the sewer assessment has been worked out. Commissioner Waiters seconded. There were five ayes. 21. Commissioner Kelly made a motion to request the City Clerk to write the South Broward Transit Authority to find out why the Dania Beach Bus service has been stopped.
